The rights of the foreign citizens as concerns the protection of personal data

Pursuant to art. 18 and 26 of the Romania Constitution, republished, the foreign citizens and the stateless persons who live in Romania enjoy the general protection of the persons and wealth, guaranteed by Constitution and by other laws, and the public authorities observe and protect the intimate, family and private life, without any difference between Romanian and foreign citizens.

Also, the framework law in the field of protection of persons as concerns the processing of personal data and the free movement of these data (Regulation UE 2016/679), has the purpose to guarantee and protect the rights and freedoms of the natural persons, especially, the right to intimate, family and private life, as concerns the processing of personal data, without any distinction between Romanian and foreign citizens.
