Joint actions in order to ensure public order and to increase the safety degree at the South-West border of Romania
Since last night, having in mind the increase of the safety degree at the South-West border of Romania, the border guards within the Territorial Inspectorate of Border Police Timişoara act jointly with the employees within the County Inspectorate of Gendarmerie Timiş, the Mobile Group of Gendarmerie Timiş, the County Inspectorates of Police in Timiş, Caraş-Severin and Mehedinţi, as well as with the General Inspectorate of Aviation, based on a joint plan for maintaining, ensuring public order and increasing the safety degree of the citizen, approved by minister Petre Tobă.

This week, the Romanian Border police vessels, stationed in Greece, during the Maritime Joint Operation “Poseidon Rapid Intervention „coordinated by the Frontex Agency, have rescued, during a mission carried out in the Aegean Sea, 86 people in inflatable , overcrowded rafts in danger of sinking.
26 children on board of a rubber boat in the Aegean Sea were rescued
The border policemen aboard the MAI 1104 ship of the Coast Guard, in Joint Maritime Operation "Poseidon Rapid Intervention" in Greece, coordinated by FRONTEX, rescued 67 people, including 26 children, who were on a small rubber boat, in the Aegean Sea.

The border policemen aboard the MAI 1104 ship of the Coast Guard, stationed in Greece, have successfully carried out two more rescue missions of 97 migrants which were in danger of drowning in the international waters of the Aegean Sea, during the Maritime Joint Operation Poseidon Rapid Intervention.
