Updated list of the states exempted from the containment measure

Based on the Decision no. 31/22.06.2020 establishing the exceptions of the quarantine / isolation measure taken for some countries within the European Union and the European Economic Area and the analysis performed by the National Institute of Public Health, the list of states exempted from the application of quarantine / isolation measures was updated.

Thus, starting with 23.06.2020, 00:00 o’clock, passengers coming to Romania from Finland, Italy, Estonia, Ireland and the European territory of France (Metropolitan France) are exempted from the quarantine / isolation measure, if they are asymptomatic.

Details regarding the updated list can be found at: http://www.cnscbt.ro/index.php/liste-zone-afectate-covid-19/.

Based on the existing agreement at EU level regarding  the opening of internal borders, the list of countries exempted from the quarantine / isolation measure only includes the EU Member and the European Economic Area States.

Third countries exempted from the quarantine / isolation measure will be established after the finalization of the unitary criteria applicable at the European level, on the basis of which this exception is established.

We remind you that, for passengers coming to Romania from countries that are subject to the exception of quarantine / isolation, but who, before leaving the respective country, did not stay at least 14 days on its territory, must go into quarantine / isolation at home / declared location, together with the roommates, including the family / relatives, as the case may be.
