It has been established on 01st of April 1994, under the name as  Border Guards Personnel Perfection Center , with its premises in ORSOVA Municipality and it underwent many stages of structural organization, depending on the objectives and necessities of the Romanian Border Police.

Since 2003, the school is functioning with a second location, in Drobeta Turnu Severin municipality, designed for the training of the agents proceeding from the border policemen hired with contract.

The school has as a fundamental goal the formation, perfection and specialization of the personnel of the border police in professionalized system, organizing courses of initiation in the career, courses for career advancement and change of the work profile.

The training of the personnel is ensured by working of the following departments:

  • THE DEPARTMENT OF SPECIFIC TRAINING, with the subject matters:
    • The tactics of the Border Police
    • Border Information
    • The control of transnational criminality (illegal immigration, trafficking in persons, trafficking in stolen cars, armament smuggling - ammunition and explosive substances, narcotics trafficking, contraband)
  • THE DEPARTMENT OF JURIDICAL TRAINING, with the subject matters:
    • European Law
    • Legal protection of human rights
    • Criminal Law
    • Criminal-lawsuit related law
    • Legislation
  • THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES AND SOCIO-HUMANIST SCIENCES, with the subject matters:
    • Management
    • History
    • Professional Ethics
    • Foreign languages
    • Informatics
  • THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC ORDER, with the subject matters:
    • National security and public order
    • Shooting instruction
