The Inspector General of the Romanian Border Police, Chief Commissioner of Police Victor-Ştefan IVAŞCU, received the visit of Mrs. May-Britt Ronnebro, Secretary General of the International Police Association today. He was accompanied by Mr. Dan Rusu, President of the International Detectives Association, Mr. Cătălin Carmen DASCĂLU, President of IPA - Ilfov Region and Mr. Popa Cristian Eduard, President of IPA Region 3 Bucharest.
In this context, Ms. May-Britt Ronnebro conveyed her and the IPA team she coordinates appreciation on the recognized professionalism of the Romanian border guards, all the more so since the outbreak of the humanitarian crisis of Ukrainian refugees, when their spirit of solidarity was also noted. At the same time, he praised the intense work of IPA border police officers who, through all their activities, promote lasting and genuine friendship under the auspices of the IPA slogan: SERVO PER AMIKECO (SERVICES for FRIENDS).
We specify the fact that, at the level of the Romanian Border Police, the International Police Association has a number of 18 territorial regions with a total number of 4718 members, respectively Region 3 Bucharest at GIBP level which was established in 2003 and counts in over 200 members present.
The visit of the Secretary General of IPA is of particular importance, representing the first visit to our country of an official from the international board of the International Police Association - the largest international organization of police officers with members from 68 countries on 6 continents, a professional organization that represents the form of professional, autonomous, apolitical and non-profit organization of police officers.
The activity takes place in the context of the development of international relations of friendship and institutional and organizational cooperation of police officers around the world on the generous principles of friendship without borders.
