Twenty-five Syrian citizens, found at the western border  


Border police officers from Nădlac Border Police Sector, Arad County, have discovered twenty-five Syrian nationals trying to illegally cross the border into Hungary, to reach western Europe.

On 23rd of February 2020, around 23.30, the policemen from the Border Police Sector Nădlac - Nagylak found, about 50 meters away from the the neighboring state border line, twenty-five people who were walking, towards the territory of Hungary.

Foreign citizens were taken over and transported to Nădlac Border Police Sector, for research.

During preliminary checks, border guards established that the group consists of Syrian citizens, 18 men and 7 minors. Adults are between 19 and 42 years old, and minors between 8 and 17 years old. They said they wanted to reach western Europe.

In this case, the border guards carry out investigations against the persons concerned, and after the finalization, the legal measures that are required will be taken.
