The border police is working at the maximum capacity allowed by the infrastructure of the border crossing points. Currently, the traffic is running smoothly without any waiting times. Next, we recommend to the traffic participants the transit of all border crossing points open to international traffic, to avoid the occurrence of overloads of only some of them.

We remind you that starting with 13.03.2021 at 23.00 (Romanian time) until today at 23.00 (Romanian time), the circulation of all vehicles with a capacity of more than 7.5 tons will be restricted on the territory of Hungary. The measure is taken by the Hungarian authorities due to the fact that the date of 15.03.2021 is declared a national holiday, non-working day. In view of the above, during this period, freight drivers will have the obligation to park in the specially arranged parking lots, until the end of the traffic restriction for the public roads in Hungary.

Please note that during these time intervals, passengers and car traffic will take place in normal conditions.

Information related to the situation of the border crossing points open to the international traffic can be found on the on-line traffic application, which can be accessed at: http://www.politiadefrontiera.ro/traficonline/
