In the last 24 hours, through the border crossing points, 19.000 persons, Romanian and foreign nationals, crossed the border and more than 13.600 transportation means.
On the entry, approximately 9.400 persons crossed the border on 7.000 transportation means and on the exit, 9.600 persons, respectively 6.600 means of transport.
During this period, the border state surveillance and control device is supplemented, both at the border crossing points and on the border strip. Daily, about 4.400 border guards are on duty, most of them at the border check points.
At the same time, at the border with Hungary, 10.800 persons and 8.400 transportation means proceeded with the formalities, out of which about 5.700 persons with 5.100 transportation means on the entry.
The border formalities require a longer processing time due to the fact that, in addition to the specific control at the entrance to the country, the persons are taken over by the representatives of the Public Health Directorate to complete the declaration on their own responsability and to carry out the epidemiological control.
After completing the formalities and establishing the measures to be taken by the medical staff, the cars are taken over by the police and gendarms to be directed to the locations set for quarantine or self-isolation.
Information related to the situation of the border crossing points open to the international traffic can be found on the on-line traffic application, which can be accessed at: http://www.politiadefrontiera.ro/traficonline/
