Tens of migrants stopped at the Romanian border on their illegal way to Schengen Area

At the end of the last week, Romanian Border Police officers detected and apprehended 30 people, citizens of Alger, Palestine, Tunisia and Morocco trying to illegally cross the border in order o reach Schengen area.

On 27.07.2011, at about 20.15, a Border Police patrol within Nadlac Border Police Sector, Arad County, based on intelligence, apprehended four men walking towards Hungary.
The aforementioned people were apprehended at about 700 meters away from the Romanian-Hungarian border, among the existing vegetation close to the border line.
Following the investigation was established the fact that the migrants are citizens of Tunisia and Morocco, with ages from 18 to 38 years old and intending to reach Schengen area. They stated that they took a car from to Nadlac from where they walked over the field till apprehended. They have used this method due to the lack of Schengen visas.

From 24 to 25.07.2011, Border Police officers within Lunga Border Police Sector, Timis County, detected, in the competency area, six groups of 23 illegal migrants of various nationalities (Tunisians, Algerians, Morocco and Palestinians).
Due to the fact that the aforementioned people did not justify their presence in the area, had no identity documents and spoke no Romanian, Border Police officers led the people on the premises of Lunga Border Police Sector, in order to sort out the situation.
On this occasion, was established the fact that nine of theme are citizens of Tunisia, three of Morocco, eight Algerians and three Palestinians, with ages from 21 to 29 years old who illegally crossed the Serbian-Romanian border.

Also Border Police officers within Jimbolia Border Police Sector, Timis County, detected in the competency area three people who could not justify their presence in the area, had no identity documents and spoke no Romanian. Border Police officers led the people on the premises of Jimbolia Border Police Sector, in order to sort out the situation.
On this occasion, was established the fact that they are Algerians, with ages from 21 to 29 years old who illegally crossed the Serbian-Romanian border, in order to reach the Schengen area.

In all the cases prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of state border illegal crossing or attempt of state border illegal crossing were drawn by Border Police officers, following, at the end of the investigation to be taken all the imposed legal measures.
