In the last 24 hours, Romanian Border Police officers detected and apprehended ten people in the competency area, citizens of Alger, Tunis and Morocco, trying to illegally cross our border in order to reach Schengen area.
Last evening, at about 21.00 hours, Romanian Border Police officers within Nadlac Border Police Sector, Arad County, detected seven people, males, walking towards Hungary. The aforementioned people were apprehended at about 20 meters within Romanian territory from the neighboring state.
Following the investigations, was established the fact that they are citizens of Alger, Tunis and Morocco, with ages from 17 to 33, trying to illegally cross our border in order to reach Schengen area. The man stated that they were hitchhiking from Arad to the border area (two vehicles) and then walked, over the field till they were apprehended. The reason of acting this way was the lack of Schengen visas.
Romanian Border Police officers interrupted their journey and drawn prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of illegal border crossing attempt, at the end of the investigations being taken the imposed legal measures.
Also the Romanian Border Police officers within Lunga Border Police Sector, Timis County detected this morning, in the competency area, three foreigners, with no identity documents, whose presence in the were was not justified.
Out of the preliminary investigations, was established the fact that they are citizens of Alger and Morocco and entered illegally in Romania from Serbia. They were leaded on the premises of Lunga Border Police Sector in order to continue the investigations and take the imposed legal measures.
