Synthesis of the events at the border in the last 24 hours

Within the last 24 hours Romanian Border Police carried out specific activities within the area of responsibility in regards to state border surveillance and checks, counter and prevent illegal migration and cross border criminality. The main events were as follows:

Over 21,500 cigarettes detected by Romanian Border Police officers within Iasi County

Romanian Border Police officers within Sculeni Border Crossing Point, Iasi County, in cooperation with custom officers detected two citizens of Republic of Moldova trying to illegally bring into Romania, hidden and undeclared, 21,560 cigarettes.
All the imposed legal measures were taken by Border Police officers and Custom officers seized the cigarettes and the vehicle, imposing a fine of 8,000 lei for each aforementioned people.

Driving without driving license in order to exit Romania

Romanian Border Police officers within Oancea Border Crossing Point, Galati County, detected a Romanian driving a Rover without a driving license. Border Police officers acted in accordance with the law, taking all the imposed legal measures.

Cigarettes detected by the dog Micax

A citizen of Republic of Moldova was left without travel document due to the fact that Micax, a dog belonging to Romanian Border Police, detected hidden on his body 400 cigarettes, Strand brand. Man’s intention was to bring the cigarettes illegally into Romania.

Monofilament nets in the Danube’s Delta

Romanian Border Police officers within Coast Guard while carrying out several activities for countering and preventing illegal fishing within the responsibility area, a Romanian citizen with 7 illegal monofilament nets 350 meters long.
All the imposed legal measures were taken by Border police officers, the fish and nets being seized.

Poaching in Tulcea County

Romanian Border Police officers within Padina Border Police Sector, Constanta County, detected a Romanian citizen, haunting without license.
Border Police officers acted in accordance with the law, taking all the imposed legal measures.

Not genuine goods detected at Agigea

Romanian Border Police officers within Coast Guard detected a container coming from China, carrying not genuine goods. All the imposed legal measures were taken by Border Police officers.

Criminality on public roads

Romanian Border Police officers within Coast Guard detected three Romanians driving three different vehicles without having a driving license. Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of driving a car without having a driving license were drawn by Border Police officers.

Migrants detected at the "green border"

Romanian Border Police officers within Lunga Border Police Sector, Timis County, detected two groups of illegal migrants, consisting of six people, Moroccans and Palestinians, with ages from 19 to 35 years old, trying to illegally cross the Serbian - Romanian green border.
Prior acts of criminal investigation in terms of the offense of illegal state border crossing were drawn by Border Police officers, following at the end of the investigation to be taken all the imposed legal measures.

Not genuine goods detected at Giurgiu

Romanian Border Police officers within Giurgiu Border Crossing Point detected in a truck carrying detergents from Bulgaria to Romania, 318 bags of Persil and 846 boxes of Calgon not genuine.
All the imposed legal measures were taken by Border Police officers, all the goods being seized.

Four people presented at the border check falsified travel documents

Romanian Border Police officers within Giurgiu Border Crossing Point, Giurgiu County, in cooperation with Bulgarian Border Authorities detected four people presenting French falsified passports, for which they had paid 1,800 Euros.
Based on a Protocol between the two countries, the aforementioned people were handed over to Bulgarian authorities.

Driving without driving license

Romanian Border Police officers within Nadlac Border Crossing Point, Arad County, detected a Romanian driving a Seat, in order to exit Romania, without a driving license. Border Police officers acted in accordance with the law, taking all the imposed legal measures.
