On 05.05.2023, at 08:15, the border police officers at Henri Coandă International Airport carried out the entry formalities for a 21-year-old Romanian citizen, traveling on the United States of America - Turkey route, accompanied by an escort of the American authorities
The man is the subject of a European arrest warrant issued by the Spanish authorities, for committing the crime of murder.
He was handed over to a crew from the Criminal Investigation Service of the Ilfov County Police Inspectorate, where he will remain in custody until his transfer to the Spanish authorities.
Throughout the transfer and until he was handed over to CPI Ilfov, the Romanian citizen was accompanied by representatives of the American and Spanish authorities, as well as border police officers from the Henri Coandă International Airport.
