More than one kilo of hashish seized in Constanta

Two men who transported in a vehicle registered in Germany more than 1.2 kilos of hashish to be traded within Constanta County were caught red-handed by the border policemen.

Within an action for countering trafficking with prohibited substances, the border policemen from Constanta, acting under the coordination of the Prosecutors within the Territorial Bureau of D.I.I.C.O.T. Constanta, with the direct support of D.G.I.P.I., detained two Romanian citizens, Orlando C., aged 22 and Marian H., aged 35, both domiciled in Constanta who were transporting 1.208 kilos of hashish (cannabis resin), upon entering Constanta County.

The criminal activity of the two men from Constanta was carefully monitored, from their entry in the country until the moment of the flagrant.

From their statements resulted that the drugs were procured in Germany and hidden in the vehicle they were traveling with.

The substance, which after the expertise turned out to be hashish, was to be sold on within Constanta County. Its approximate trade value was 10.000 - 12.000 EURO.

The two persons were brought before the case Prosecutor within D.I.I.C.O.T. Constanta, requesting to the Court the arrest proposal for committing crimes of introducing in the country and trafficking with risk drugs, according to Articles 2 and 3 of Law 143/2000; the persons involved are arrested within the County Inspectorate of Police in Constanta. The vehicle registered in Germany and used by the concerned persons for transporting the drugs was seized.
