Currently, traffic through all border crossings with Ukraine is conducted under normal conditions and border control is carried out in accordance with the provisions of national and Community legislation.
In accordance with the legal attributions, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police ordered the subordinated structures to adopt the necessary measures to strengthen the control and the increased surveillance at the Romanian borders.
Border crossing points are fully equipped and we are ready to supplement the staff, if necessary.
Border control measures have been intensified, service shifts in areas of responsibility have been supplemented and cooperation with other relevant institutions has been strengthened for the operational exchange of data and information, as well as joint adoption in imposed, of the measures necessary for the management of the cases that have arisen.
There is a very good collaboration with all the responsible institutions, so that we can offer the necessary legal support to the people who come to the borders of the country and ask for Romania's help, if necessary.
The same close cooperation also works to prevent and counteract acts that undermine public order and the safety of citizens.
Border guards are on duty and in constant contact with institutional partners.
The situation is dynamic and the measures within the competence of the Border Police will also be adapted according to its evolution.
