Information regarding border traffic on 28.02.2022

On 28.02.2022, within a 24 hour interval, at national level, 76,642 people entered Romania through the border points, out of which 22,596 Ukrainian citizens (decreasing by 4% compared to the previous day).

On the border with Ukraine, 9,660 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania (a decreasing of 8,5%), and on the border with the Republic of Moldova, 11,339 Ukrainian citizens entered (an increase of 5,4%).

On the way out of Romania, 73,180 people completed the formalities, of which 15,877 were Ukrainian citizens (an increase of 35%).

Since the onset of this crisis, until 28.02.2022, at 11.00 h, at national level, approximately 89,000 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania and 50,000 Ukrainian citizens left.

We further reiterate that the border guards are on duty and in constant contact with the institutional partners, having all the necessary measures in place to ensure the security of Romania's borders.
