Information regarding border traffic on 08.03.2022

On 09.03.2022, within a 24 hour interval, at national level, 69,662 people entered Romania through the border points, out of which 23,546 Ukrainian citizens (decreasing by 18,4% compared to the previous day).

On the border with Ukraine, 8,860 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania (decreasing of 16,4%), and on the border with the Republic of Moldova, 12,978 Ukrainian citizens entered (decreasing by 2%).

On the way out of Romania, 82,737 people completed the formalities, of which 24,475 were Ukrainian citizens (decreasing by of 4%).

Since the onset of this crisis, until 09.03.2022, at 24.00 h, at national level, approximately 343,515 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania and 258,844 Ukrainian citizens left.

We further reiterate that the border guards are on duty and in constant contact with the institutional partners, having all the necessary measures in place to ensure the security of Romania's borders.
