Information regarding border traffic on 08.03.2022

On 08.03.2022, within a 24 hour interval, at national level, 79,709 people entered Romania through the border points, out of which 28,888 Ukrainian citizens (decreasing by 2,5% compared to the previous day).

On the border with Ukraine, 10,601 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania (decreasing of 1,5%), and on the border with the Republic of Moldova, 16,465 Ukrainian citizens entered (decreasing by 3,5%).

On the way out of Romania, 87,666 people completed the formalities, of which 25,506 were Ukrainian citizens (decreasing by of 3,9%).

Since the onset of this crisis, until 08.03.2022, at 24.00 h, at national level, approximately 319,969 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania and 234,369 Ukrainian citizens left.

We further reiterate that the border guards are on duty and in constant contact with the institutional partners, having all the necessary measures in place to ensure the security of Romania's borders.
