Based on the studies carried out by the National Road Infrastructure Administration Company (CNAIR) regarding the resistance structure of the bridge over the Tisa, the bridge that connects Romania to Ukraine, it was concluded that urgent repairs are needed to this construction.
As a result, CNAIR together with the executing company announced restrictions on road traffic through the Sighetu Marmații Border Crossing Point, starting on 09.09.2024, for a period of 30 days, between 10.00-15.00, from Monday to Friday.
Regarding pedestrian traffic, it will not be affected.
According to the builder's estimates, the bridge rehabilitation works are expected to be completed by the end of January 2025.
