Thursday, March 31, 2022, a special day at the headquarters of the General Inspectorate of Border Police: In the presence of the Inspector General of the Romanian Border Police, Mr. Chief Commissioner Victor Stefan IVAŞCU, Mr. Academician Ioan Aurel POP, President of the Romanian Academy, university professor priest doctor Constantin NECULA, as well as of the president of the Union of Professional Journalists from Romania, Mr. Sorin STANCIU, FRONTIERA Magazine celebrated over a century of existence.
The editorial team, led by the editor-in-chief Gabriel CRĂCIUN, has been managing the magazine to high standards of journalistic quality for many years. Since its first publication, on April 1, 1920, tens of generations of the Romanian Border Police have been found in the pages of the magazine.
In the opening ceremony of the FRONTIERA Magazine, the editor-in-chief thanked the publication's distinguished guests, partners and collaborators, former magazine staff, for their active involvement in the joint efforts to spread the message of unity and cohesion of border structures.
On the occasion of over a century of existence, the Inspector General of the Romanian Border Police, Chief Commissioner of Police Victor Ştefan Ivaşcu gave a speech on the representativeness of the Romanian Border Police structures, emphasizing the importance of the publication as an active way of promoting the image and organizational culture, but also the formation of legal, military, patriotic education of border personnel and tens of generations of pupils and students, graduates of military schools:
"The testimonies of many former workers reinforce the general opinion that the publication has been a valuable aid in the training and education of border guards, examples for comrades-in-arms, a useful means of information inside the institution, a real communication link.
