On July 9th, 2022, through the border crossing points at the level of the entire country, approximately 289,000 persons, Romanian and foreign citizens, with over 72,600 means of transport, went through the control formalities (both on the way in and on the way out of the country).
On the way to Romania, there were 156.186 people, of which 11,699 were Ukrainian citizens (up 4,47% from the previous day). Thus, starting with February 10th, 2022 (pre-conflict period), until July 9th, 2022, at 24.00, at national level, 1,511,358 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.
Furthermore, the border control at the entrance to Romania through the border crossing points is carried out efficiently, in accordance with the provisions of the national and community legislation, the Border Police working at the maximum capacity allowed by the infrastructure of the crossing points.

Regarding the specific activities, in the areas of competence - the crossing points and the "green border" - the border guards found:
- 59 illegal acts (25 crimes and 34 contraventions) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens;
- undeclared goods (which were to be introduced illegally in the country were discovered, independently or in collaboration with other institutions,), which exceeded the customs ceiling allowed or suspected to be counterfeit, in a total value of approximately 1,288,140 lei;
- the value of the applied contravention fines amounts to over 43,100 lei;
- 26 foreign citizens were not allowed to enter the country, who did not meet the conditions provided by law, and also 42 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
The Border Police acts in an integrated system with the other institutions with attributions in the field, in order to achieve an operative exchange of data and information for the efficient management of the cases.
