Border policemen are prepared for the inflow of travelers at the exit from the country

The border policemen are prepared for the return of the Romanian and foreign citizens in the residence and origin countries, after spending the winter holidays on the territory of our country.
The most transited borders will be the border with Hungary and Republic of Moldova, and for this effect the Romanian Border Police adopted the necessary measures in order to ensure a fluent control in all border crossing points.

In this period, the Romanian citizens established abroad and the foreign citizens visiting our country are returning in the residence countries, reason for which in the border crossing points increases in the traffic of persons and transportation means on the exit way from the country are recorded.

At the Eastern border a traffic increase is recorded too, especially on the entry way in the country, which is caused by the big number of persons coming to spend the old rite winter holidays, and the return of the students from Republic of Moldova in important university centers in our country.

In order to avoid overcrowding, Romanian Border Police adopted all the necessary measures so that the transit is carried out in normal conditions.

Moreover, if it is necessary, on the exit way from the country, the number of control lanes will be increased and the border policemen will cooperate operatively with the representatives of the border authorities from the neighbouring states in order to act jointly to render a smooth traffic at the border.

At the level of Border Police territorial structures, personnel back-ups, made up of specialized officers trained to act when necessary to assist their colleagues in the border crossing points, will be constituted.

Furthermore, the co-working and collaboration relations will be enhanced with the other structures within the Ministry of Administration and Interior, with the border agencies of the neighbouring states, as well as with the local public administration.

Recommendations

The Romanian Border Police recommend to the traffic participants to cross through all the border crossing points, in order to avoid overcrowding of only several of them, due to the increased number of travelers in a very short time.

Should the traffic participants be dissatisfied with the way in which the border check is performed, they may call the telephone number of the Romanian Border Police - 021.9590, where the notices are taken over by border policemen who will act accordingly, within the law, on a case-by-case basis.
