Border policemen from Arad county detected 40 people
who intended to exit illegally from Romania in order to reach
Schengen area, 36 Afghans hidden in a special place inside a lorry
loaded with mineral oil and 4 Tunisians trying to cross illegaly
the green border.
Another 7 migrants were detected, in the last 24 hours, by the
Romanian Border Police officers from Timis county while trying to
cross the Romanian-Hungarian border.
Last night, at about 23.00 hours, at the Border
Crossing Point Nadlac, Arad county, in order to exit Romania came
the Bulgarian citizen Georgi D., age 53, the driver of a lorry
registered in Bulgaria. According to the accompanying documets, the
driver was supposed to transport mineral oil from Greece for a
German company.
Border Police officers from Arad county had suspicions on the load
of the lorry, which determined them to thoroughly check the
vehicle. Thus, inside the mean of transportation were detected 36
people (22 males, 4 females and 10 children) with ages between 3
and 44, hidden on the back of the load, in a special place among
the mineral oil boxes. As a result of the investigations, the
aforementioned people were Afghans.
The inquiries are ongoing in order to etablish the whole criminal
activity and to identify all the people involved, at the end of the
inquires being taken the imposed legal measures.
At the same time, de surveillance border patroll
within the Nadlac Border police Sector, apprehended 4 men trying to
cross illegally the Romanian - Hungarian border, being catched at
aproximativelly 5 meters away from the neighbouring country, at the
limit of Nadlac.
Following the inquiries, was established that they are Tunisians
with ages between 25 and 30 and that they intended to reach
Austria.
The aforementioned people declared that they arrived by hitchhiking
till Nadlac from where they continued their trip by foot, over the
field, up to the moment they were catched. The men used this way of
action due to the lack of a Schengen visa.
The Border Police officers drew the documents prior prosecution
under the aspect of committing the following crime: attempt to
illegal crossing of the state border. At the end of the inquiries,
they will be presented in front of the prosecutor, in order to be
taken the imposed legal measures.
On 17th of February 2011, at about 22.00 hours,
Border Police officers within Sannicolau Mare Border Police Sector
- Timis County, observed with the help of thermo vision technique,
three people walking towards the Hungarian border. Taking into
consideration the fact that the presence of the aforementioned
people in the area at that hour was not justifiable, Border Police
officers took them on the premises of the sector, in order to
establish their identity and to sort out the situation.
Out of the investigations resulted that, the three men are
Pakistanis with ages between 29 and 37 and they were trying to
cross illegally the Romanian - Hungarian border.
Other four people, Palestinians, were detected this morning at the
Romanian-Serbian border by the Romanian Border Police officers
within Lunga Border Police Sector, while trying to enter illegally
our country.
In both cases, regarding the involved people, the investigations
were initiated under the aspect of attempting to cross illegally
the border and illegal state border crossing, at the end being
taken the imposed legal measures.
