The border policemen are prepared for the return
of the Romanian and foreign citizens in the residence and origin
countries, after spending the winter holidays on the territory of
our country.
The most transited borders being the ones with Hungary and Republic
of Moldova, the Romanian Border Police undertook measures in order
to ensure a fluent control in all the border crossing points.
Approximately 3,000 border policemen carry out, daily, border
surveillance and border control activities and if it is necessary,
the number of check lanes at exit will be increased.
In this period, the Romanian citizens established abroad and the foreign citizens visiting our country are returning in the residence countries, reason for which in the border crossing points are recorded increases of the traffic of persons and transportation means on the exit way from the country.
Also, at the Eastern border are recorded increases of the traffic, especially on the entry way in the country, which are caused by the big number of persons coming to spend the old style winter holidays, and the return of the students from Republic of Moldova in the important university centers in our country.
In order to avoid overcrowding, the Romanian Border Police took all the necessary measures so that the transit will be carried out normally.
Thus, approximately 3,000 border policemen will carry out, daily, border surveillance and border control activities.
Also, if it is necessary, on the exit way from the country, the number of control lanes will be increased and the border policemen will cooperate operatively with the representatives of the border authorities from the neighbouring states in order to act jointly to ease the border traffic.
At the level of territorial B.P. structures, personnel back-ups, made up of specialized officers who will be trained to act if it is necessary to support their colleagues in the border crossing points, will be constituted.
At the same time, the co-working and collaboration relations will be enhanced with the other structures within the Ministry of Administration and Interior, with the border bodies of the neighbouring states, as well as with the local public administration.
Recommendations
In order to avoid overcrowding, the Romanian Border Police recommend the traffic participants to transit all the border crossing points, in order to prevent overloading just a few of them, due to the increased number of travelers in a very short time.
If the traffic participants are dissatisfied with the in which the border check was realized, they can call the telephone number of the Romanian Border Police - +4021.9590, where the notices are taken over by the border policemen who will act accordingly, within the law, on a case-by-case basis.
